Hello and welcome to Little Wootton — the home of handmade wooden signage and gifts.
I (Melissa) craft beautiful, unique pieces for weddings, businesses, homes, and gardens — all made with love and painted entirely by hand.
The idea for Little Wootton began when I was planning our wedding. I discovered a real passion for creating and designing rustic signage and decorations alongside my husband-to-be. I would dream up and sketch the designs, and Nathaniel (my handy husband) would disappear into the garage and bring them to life.
I loved the process so much that I thought, why not keep making beautiful things and share them with others? Fast forward a year, and our beautiful son Albert was born — changing our world completely and inspiring even more ideas for gorgeous, handcrafted products.
While on maternity leave, I knew I didn’t want to return to my demanding career in marketing — a job that would rob me of precious moments with my son. It felt like the perfect time to follow my dream, and that’s how Little Wootton was born.
Since launching the business in 2020, our family has grown again with the arrival of our second son, Otis, in 2023 — our newest “little” to Little Wootton. We’ve also developed our product range and expanded into business signage — now one of our most popular offerings.
Every item you see is lovingly handmade in our workshop (aka our family home) in Wootton Wawen, where we live with our two dogs, Hope and Reggie. I absolutely love working closely with customers to design and create something truly unique — whether it’s for an individual, a couple, or a business.
